The early Cantonese opera only used wujiatou (五架头), including two-stringed fiddles (二弦), three-stringed fiddles (三弦), tiqin (竹提琴), yueqin (月琴), guzhuluobo (鼓竹锣钹).

.       After entering the mature stage, there are more than 40 kinds of Musical Instruments used in cantonese opera, which can be roughly divided into four categories: wind instruments, plucked instruments, stringed instruments and percussion instruments.
