The two scores corresponding to the scenes are from the same prevailing Qupai called Jishengcao. Because of the changes in tempo, instruments and differences in dialect, it might be difficult to sense similarity. But it might be easy to observe the same pattern or notes among them, especially for the last sentence underlined in the left one. It is noted that this Qupai can also be hound in Peking Opera.

    The left score is from a Cantonese Opera narrating a love story. The right excerpt in this Kun Opera, shanmen expresses the disappointment of Lu Zhishen, which is also mentioned in the Story of the Stone.
